2017 - Annual Bird List (4 Lifers).

Twenty-Seventeen started off on New Year's day with a wonderful treat a California Great Gray Owl. I'd hoped to get in some birding while visiting family, both in Arizona, and Maryland but only managed some drive-by birding. In the last half of the year a Red-necked Stint (previous nemesis) showed up in Alameda and lifer Yellow Rail in Louisiana, a state so hot & humid it totally kicked my butt. The year ended with a wayward Garganey in Santa Maria, just in time to brighten my Christmas Present.
